Double Chocolate Oriolos

These amazing cookies are named for Richard Oriolos , beloved art director and designer of all of the books, because he simply cannot eat enough of them. Perhaps it's because they are intensely chocolaty and buttery yet extraordinarily light. and so easy to swallow. The chocolate buttercream topping is silky smooth under it's crown of crunchy toasted walnuts. It stays spreadably soft for hours at room temperature but hardens overnight .

 got the 50 grams ready for the topping....P.S. forgot to take a picture of the chocolate spread,,,,
 after 20 minutes chilled scooped about a flat tablespoon and gently rolled each one and placed on the cookie sheet.....
 kneaded the dough a bit and chilled for 20 minutes.....
 ready to put in the plastic bag....
 added the dry ingredients sand mix it ....
 added the cooled butter and mix it...
 added  2/3 cup of roasted walnuts /coca/powder sugar/white sugar and mix...
 roasted the walnuts and chopped them small ....
 have all of the ingredients ready....
Yummy!!!!
